Ceder - Universal Design Showcase

“…promoting an equal experience for all humans regardless of ability or age.”

- Ceder Brand Ideals

What is Ceder?

The goal of Ceder Design Showcase was to create a platform for architects, civil engineers, graphic designers, and all other creatives working with the needs of everyone in mind to share their work that has exceeded accessible requirements. The touchpoints for this project and the storefront that I mocked up were rationalized by the fact that this is not just an award-giving digital showcase, but also a learning experience for young people who may be interested in architecture, etc., and want to learn about the best in both form and function.

This project focuses on designing for social activism which is why the goal of the showcase would be to inspire others to consider those who are not able-bodied or as young as they themselves are. The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requires some ground rules when building, designing, and even creating wayfinding, but there aren’t many strong examples of universal (accessible) design to be found.
